Hours
Our working hours are 9 - 5 pm with a half an hour lunch break, or 9 - 5.30 pm with an hour lunch break.
We pride ourselves on being a flexible workplace so please discuss with your Manager any accomidations you may need.
The expectation as a business is that full-time employees work the hours required to perform the inherent requirements of their role and our contracts do state that reasonable additional hours may need to be worked.
If you are going to more than fifteen minutes late for work, please notify your manager as soon as possible.
If you have an appointment or responsibility outside work that means you need time off during these hours, we’re happy to arrange an early start or late finish, provided it doesn’t adversely affect our scheduling. Speak to your manager if you want to make a change to your hours on a particular day.
OVERTIME POLICY
This document explains how we’ll manage employee hours and compensate employees for hours worked beyond their standard schedule. Click here to view the full policy: Overtime Policy
Timesheets
Time sheeting allows businesses to record time spent on tasks, projects, or clients. With timesheets, we will have better quality information that can help the business work smarter and more effectively. We will be using it for a number of things, including:
● Project tracking and profitability
● Client analysis
● Business performance
● Staff utilisation
(Timesheeting is not used to track individual employee time!)
ALL Visual Domain Production Staff will be required to log time through the integration of the third-party application, Harvest.
Harvest is a multi-platform application designed to integrate into existing business applications and workflows. This means it will directly interact with the VMS and requires minimal additional effort. You will be able to use Harvest from:
● The VMS
● Mobile app (iPhone and Android)
● Desktop application (Apple and Windows)
● Chrome Extension
● Web Browser
To find out more, please read the following document: Timesheeting

Payroll & Expenses
Employees are paid on a monthly basis. Accounts is your point of call for any finance related queries. Visual Domain uses Workday & Preceda to manage payroll and you will be given a login upon signing your contract. Your Manager will run you through this process.
Some roles at Visual Domain will require staff to make purchases on behalf of Visual Domain and claim them back as expenses. We reimburse every second Monday. Accounts is your point of call here for any questions about your expenses.
Leave
ANNUAL LEAVE
You can apply for annual leave using Workday. Simply select the dates you’d like to take off and this will be automatically sent to your manager for approval. Always wait until your dates have been approved before making arrangements.
SICK LEAVE
If you are unwell or unable to come to work, you need to let your manager know BEFORE your scheduled start time. It’s important that you phone the office so the message is received. Don’t email or text, as it’s possible that the person you’ve contacted is not in the office, which will delay the passing on of the message.
PARENTAL LEAVE
Visual Domain will provide parental leave and parental leave pay to eligible employees who have worked for the business for at least 18 months prior to the expected date of birth or adoption. For more details view the Parental Leave Policy here.
Reviews & Career Progression
We love video and everything that it encompasses, and our team of crew and creatives are at the heart of it all. We want to partner with you in your professional development.
The review process is currently transitioning over to Workday and more details will be provided as they are known.
Incident Reporting
If an incident does occur in the workplace, the employee who experienced it (eg, the employee was injured or experienced harassment) or a witness may complete an incident report form.
SOFI can assist with reporting these matters.
Mental Health Policy
The purpose of this policy is to establish, promote, and maintain the mental health and wellbeing of all staff through workplace practices, and encourage staff to take responsibility for their own mental health and wellbeing. Visual Domain believes that the mental health and wellbeing of our staff is key to organisational success and sustainability.
